In the meantime, things took an unexpected downturn on last week’s episode for Beth (Kelly Reilly) after she maneuvered Summer (PiperPerabo) into a situation that now sees the activist facing some serious jail time in Beth’s own bid to bring down Market Equities. Looking for answers, Kayce (Luke Grimes) decides to find them by going on a vision quest with help from Mo (Mo Brings Plenty) and Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham). Then (on a very special episode of My Two Dads!) Jamie’s fathers—John (Kevin Costner), the man who raised him, and Garrett (Will Patton), his biological dad—had a bit of a confrontation at a local diner. We also got a bit of comic relief over in the bunkhouse as card shark Carter (Finn Little)—or “Carter Shark” as the Bunkhouse Boys call him in this week’s Stories from the Bunkhouse (below)—earns some extra money when he takes everyone to the cleaners in a couple rounds of poker, much to Rip’s (Cole Hauser) amusement. Disappointed in Beth’s actions regarding Summer, John gives his daughter a dressing down. In a matter of days, his invitation to Beth to move up to the main house is practically reversed, much to Beth’s sadness and dismay. Given all that went down in Season 4’s penultimate episode, what’s on tap to happen in the finale? This week’s episode, titled “Grass on the Streets and Weeds on the Rooftops,” will see Kayce continuing his vision quest as Beth takes family matters into her own hands. Meanwhile, Summer’s case comes before a judge; will she get a slap on the wrist or serve serious jail time? Some newfound truths also threaten the Dutton family bond, but at whose cost? And lastly, look for some more fun banter in the bunkhouse as Jimmy (Jefferson White) returns to Montana and the Dutton Ranch—but will his return be permanent or temporary?
