Before the coronavirus pandemic made travel precarious and at times prohibited, Jonas and Chopra Jonas did some globe-trotting. First, they went horseback riding on the beach in Santa Barbara, California: Then they celebrated Holi in India, but revealed later they cut their trip short. Chopra-Jonas explained in Vogue, “We were supposed to be in India for Holi, but we cut our trip short and came back to America because we were worried about borders being locked down. Nick is a Type 1 diabetic, so we felt it was important to go into quarantine almost immediately.” Once the severity of the COVID-19pandemic set in stateside, they released a sweet message for the world from quarantine urging everyone to stay safe and take care of one another. The video was filmed fireside, and considering Jonas’ nickname was “Mr. President,” we’re willing to call this an official “Fireside Chat.” They also shared cute photos of being cozy at home. In an interview on Diane Von Furstenberg’s podcast, In Charge, Chopra Jonas said she was shocked at what Jonas told her he loved about her during quarantine. “We wrote like five things that we love about each other,” she said, “and the first thing he said was ‘your ambition.’ I’ve never heard a guy say that.”
