The two boys are grown now with John running the ranch alongside his uncle, Jacob and Spencer are in Africa trying to outrun the scars of war but not running fast enough. We’re also introduced to Teonna (Aminah Nieves), a Native American woman who is at a government-run boarding school where her instructor is a cruel nun with an even crueler headmaster. How her story intertwines with the Duttons is yet to be revealed. It was nice to hear Elsa Dutton (Isabel May) narrating the series premiere.  In “Nature’s Empty Throne,” this week’s episode of 1923, Jacob and the Yellowstone cowboys save one of their own before deciding their next move. Teonna continues to endure at the hands of Sister Mary (Jennifer Ehle). Cara and Emma (Marley Shelton) discuss Elizabeth (Michelle Randolph) and Jack. (Darren Mann) Alexandra (Julia Schlaepfer) makes a bold decision. While there is no new episode of Yellowstone on Christmas Day, Paramount will run a Dutton Family Holiday Marathon beginning at 10 a.m. ET on Paramount Network, which includes episodes from Yellowstone, 1923 (Episode 101), and 1883 (Episodes 101 and 102). New episodes of 1923 premiere Sundays exclusively on Paramount+. Check out this behind-the-scenes footage from 1923.
